Setting the Default Label printer settings in Windows control panel

Setting the Default Label printer settings in Windows control panel

The default label size must be set against the system via the start menu in window.  Changing the label size within the adobe dialog during printing will not hold the settings.

Go to Printers

Get to the printers - on this XP system they are within control panel or may be directly in the start menu as with lower red arrow.

Go to Properties

Right mouse on the printer you want to set the defaults for and the click on properties.  Note: Consistent with the always flaky windows it seems the default may need to be set against Printing Preferences instead - do not know the rhyme or the reason but start with properties.

Go to Advanced Properties

1 - click on Advanced tab  ---  ooh advanced - now we are really grown ups now!

2 - click on Printing Defaults

Click on Advanced in Layout

Click on Advanced in Layout - - I think they should call this super grown up advanced - VERY important.

And all of this $#@*!! to set a default label size!

1. Choose the Label Size.  LV-30258 & LV-Vet1 use 30258

                                      LV30326 & Vet2 use 30326

                                      LV-30323  use 30323

                                      LV-30256 use 30256

2. Click OK

3. Click OK  - Again

4. Click OK - Again

That's 3 OKs - Got it?

OK!  Now the next time you select your label printer the label that fits the formatting in VETport will be CORRECT!!!!!

As long as you have the label size setup in VETport correct.
